DAWN BREAKS

Boca Sunrise

The stillness calls to your spirit,

Cool, coarse sand shifts around your feet, while the night breeze fights to survive the dawn,

The sea oats dance slowly in its wake, the breeze wraps sensuously around your body,

caressing your skin, leaving a trail of cold goosebumps in its passing.

The horizon warms slowly, a magnificent golden blaze rises above the horizon, lifting your spirits as the glowing orb emerges.

Wondrous emotion wells, and inhaling it in deeply, you seek to hold onto it forever.

I took this image in August of 2013 in Boca Grande, Florida. I began walking the beach at 5:45 am waiting for the sunrise. It was an extremely magical sunrise and one of my favorite photo shoots. I hope that you enjoy it, and that I have conveyed at least some of that magical time to you.

Until next time,

Mary Michelle

    • Thank-you so much, Amy! That is so kind of you to say 🙂 I look forward to hearing from you, we all have to hang together and inspire each other. I am always learning and I appreciate the support!
      Love and hugs,
      Mary

      • Isn’t that the truth? Yes we are always learning! I just said to Lisa, I really think the majority of us who are artists are humble, really not knowing the extent of our talent. It makes us hungry to be more. I know of some photographers who have more then one editing software program, and my eyes roll. I don’t even know the one I have inside an out. I have been looking at Lightroom 5 though. Maybe. LOL I am so glad our paths crossed! Love, Amy

      • 🙂 I only use Photoshop CC with Topaz plugin. I am so used to accessing camera raw there and smart objects, I feel like a traitor using lightroom even though I have it. Every second of my time off of my day job as a Radiation Therapist is spent working on my dream. I highly recommend that you check out Behance. It is a huge portfolio sight that enables you to interact with artists from around the world, and showcases your work for potential clients. It is a huge source of my inspiration. I am thrilled that our paths have crossed, also! After looking at your blog, I feel that we have a lot in common.
        Love and hugs,
        Mary Michelle

      • I use Photoshop Elements 6 (don’t remember if I told you this already! ….. tired brain syndrome). PS CC with Topaz plugin ….. another option. I’m not sure what Behance is. Is that an app that I can download? Or is it a website? I am very interested! Yes, we do have a lot in common. I just came from your site and I left a comment of my own. It warms my Heart greatly knowing that there are those in this world who are making a difference. God bless you, Mary Michelle!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

      • I can only hope that I can make a difference in this vast world! Behance is an adobe sponsored site. Look for my link to my site there and explore. Remember- we help each other, one image at a time!
