WELCOME BACK

September 19, 2017 by Mary Michelle Scott

It has been a while since I have posted on my blog, and I apologize. Both, to you who I truly appreciate more than you know, and to myself, because I really love doing this blog. So, with the best intentions, I am back in the space that I love. The past year has been extremely successful commercially, and I have been very blessed with twin grandsons due to arrive in December. I also have a new grand dog Killian. […]

FAMILY

August 21, 2016 by Mary Michelle Scott

So much of these past two weeks has been focused on family both in my personal life and in my artistic life. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by a very loving family, and friends and their constant support and beliefs in my dreams is so appreciated! My yoga practice did good last week, but I wasn’t able to do it this week- and I truly missed it. I am trying to focus on meditating more, and stretching more […]

Summertime heat

July 31, 2016 by Mary Michelle Scott

It is so incredibly hot down here in SW Florida, but I am still on the journey of self discovery. I attended my first yoga class Saturday morning, and attended is a great descriptive word.  I knew that I had been struggling with severe side effects from many of the medicines that I am on, but this class made me realize how out of touch with my own body and spiritual core that I have become. I was able to […]

one of those days

July 11, 2016 by Mary Michelle Scott

Cooling off in the Springs! It is some kind of hot down here in Florida- you step outside and just melt. This guy has the right idea though, it is time for water activities, I just need a water proof casing for my gear. He was having an absolute party out there, squaking and splashing, and at least this guy didn’t glare at me for hanging around and taking his picture. He just thought I was nuts for standing out […]

morning has broken

June 26, 2016 by Mary Michelle Scott

“Morning has Broken” Photographed May 2016- Copyright Mary Michelle Scott 2016- All rights reserved. I have spent a lot of time lately hiking around Florida, both for my health and to photograph all of the incredible beauty that is out there. My favorite time to go is at sunrise, magic happens at that time. The shot above was taken at the Fakahatchee Strand in the Everglades. The dew and the breaking dawn lit up a landscape filled with millions of tiny […]

Father’s Day

June 19, 2016 by Mary Michelle Scott

“Solitude” Photographed June 2016- Copyright Mary Michelle Scott 2016- All rights reserved. Happy Father’s Day to all the Father’s out there, I hope it is a blessed and special day! Life has been good in this girl’s week, getting stronger each day and doing the things I love. I had time to do a little hiking and started a new art series- The Garden of Curiosities. This photo was taken on a hike with my husband in Homosassa Springs, Florida- I […]

LIFESTYLE CHANGES

June 11, 2016 by Mary Michelle Scott

‘Finding Myself’, image taken at Tybee Island, Georgia, June 2016. Copyright Mary Michelle Scott 2016- All rights reserved.   LIFESTYLE CHANGES To me, those words are scarier than the words “facing your fears”. This past six months these two words have filled my existence sucking the life out of me, to the point that I really didn’t think I could keep going on. In December 2015 my blood pressure starting running 225/125 and the doctors were unable to bring it down lower than […]

Fall in SW Florida

November 7, 2015 by Mary Michelle Scott

One of the things I love most about SW Florida is the Fall and Winter seasons, and all the beautiful wildlife that can be see during this time. These are a few images I took in Naples, Florida of Tricolored Herons. They were so odd-looking and whimsical, I couldn’t resist stalking them with my lens 🙂 Have a fantastic weekend 🙂 ❤ Creatively yours, Mary Michelle

Thankful for my photog assistant!

November 4, 2015 by Mary Michelle Scott

THE LIFE OF A PHOTOGRAPHER’S ASSISTANT (struggles of an assistant to put up with a creative, lol!) Well, we survived Halloween. I am a little sad that it went by so quickly. I absolutely love all the ghouls and goblins, and scary things that come out. It makes my imagination go wild 🙂 But, now we are entering a thankful season, and I want to give a huge shoutout to my photog assistants! You have seen Trevor in many of […]

Night for the ghouls

November 1, 2015 by Mary Michelle Scott

What a wonderful Halloween! I am so lucky to have three sons who love to be creative, it is the perfect storm for a photographer and digital artist. My middle son Trevor, and his girlfriend Sarah spent all week creating their Victorian era costumes. I think they turned out amazing, and we had a blast taking photos. I hope all of you had as much fun as we did! 🙂
